We cordially invite YOU to share your interdisciplinary social media strategies and successes for serving adult learners in diverse settings by PRESENTING at the CDLT "PRE-CONFERENCE SYMPOSIUM on SOCIAL MEDIA" on 10/31/17 in Memphis, in conjunction with the AAACE Conference. Symposium Description and Individual Presentation Types
The symposium will commence with a brief networking activity, followed by an interactive workshop on planning for social media projects and campaigns, as well as the integration of social media within courses and programs for adults. The workshop will be led by pre-selected facilitators and precede all individual symposium presentations.
Each accepted individual presentation will have “two” components:
1) A speed presentation of 5-10 minutes with A/V equipment to present the core concepts of the topic.
2) A follow up roundtable discussion (30-45 minutes) for in-depth networking and information sharing with symposium participants.
The two presentations may be listed separately on vitaes and resumes.
The common factor linking all accepted individual proposals is relevance to and advancement of social media in serving adult learners. Diversity among presenters and topics is highly encouraged. Both AAACE members and non-members from all practitioner and academic settings are eligible to present. Graduate students are also welcome. Proposals are not required to include data or be research based for consideration.
