Adult education academic programs are built on the shoulders of those who came before those of us currently building and watching over them. As the year draws to a close, we are honoring the legacies of three who are no longer with us. Patricia Hill Cranton, a faculty member at Penn State-Harrisburg and Teachers College, Columbia University was a leading thinker in transformative learning. Larry Olds, on the faculty at Metropolitan and Technical Community College in Minneapolis, was an inspiration to many for his commitment and act ism for social justice work and promotion of popular education.
