What's New for the 2017 AAACE Conference?

Are you ready for interesting and informative sessions, stimulating conversations, and a wealth of chances to network with professionals in our field? Those are just some of the activities that you'll find at the 66th Annual AAACE Conference in Memphis, Tennessee. Here’s a taste of what will be going on:
- Over 185 concurrent, roundtable, poster, and commission-sponsored sessions
- Keynote addresses by leading adult education authors and professionals
- Specialized workshop offerings at pre- and co-conferences
- “I am an Adult Educator Day”
- Memphis BBQ dinner and tour of the National Civil Rights Museum followed by a presentation on the Highlander Research and Education Center

Special Wednesday Night Event
Join your fellow attendees for a special evening in Memphis at the National Civil Rights Museum at the Lorraine Motel. The museum offers 260 artifacts, more than 40 new films, oral histories, interactive media and external listening posts that will guide you through five centuries of history - from the beginning of the resistance during slavery, through the Civil War and Reconstruction, the rise of Jim Crow and the seminal events of the late 20th century that inspected people around the world to stand up for equality. It will be an unforgettable evening, so make sure you register to attend. $50.00 optional event ticket / Pre-Registration is required. (The cost of this event includes transportation to and from the Museum, dinner, special lecture, and tour of the facility.)
Graduate Student Grant Application
Graduate students can now apply for a limited number of conference grants for the AAACE National Conference registration fee (Oct. 31-Nov. 3, 2017, Memphis, TN). The conference fees for the Commission for International Adult Education (CIAE) Pre-Conference (Oct. 29–31), the Commission for Distance and Technology (CDLT) Pre-conference Symposium on Social Media (Oct. 31) and/or the Commission of Professor of Adult Education (CPAE) Co-Conference (Nov. 2-3) are also included. Registration fees are reimbursed to the grant recipient approximately one month following the completion of the annual conference and receipt of statement about attending the 2017 AAACE Conference. The deadline date for submission is June 30, 2017.
