Conference Sessions - A Chorus of Many Voices!
by Christy M. Rhodes, 2017 Chair
Thank you to everyone who submitted a proposal to present at AAACE 2017. Proposal notifications and selection emails have already been sent to all primary presenters. We are incredibly pleased to have such a wide variety of topics related to our conference theme “Adult Education: One Chorus of Many Voices”. Thanks to the work of volunteer proposal reviewers from AAACE SIGs and Commissions, we now have a lineup of 185 concurrent and 46 roundtable sessions, as well as 17 presenters in our dedicated poster session. What a diverse and strong chorus of voices we will be listening to in Memphis!

Closing Session Speaker - Dr. Dan Pratt
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Dan Pratt, Professor Emeritus (Education) and Senior Scholar (Medicine) at the University of British Columbia, will be presenting our closing keynote program on Friday, November 3 from 11:30 to 1:00. Throughout his career, Dr. Pratt has explored teaching and learning across variations in disciplinary traditions, professional contexts, and social and cultural norms. He has contributed to the professional development of countless adult educators through workshops and his award-winning book, “Five Perspectives on Teaching in Adult and Higher Education”. I recently had the pleasure of chatting with Dan about a variety of topics and hope you enjoy learning more about this thoughtful and influential adult educator.
