Leslie Cordie is an Assistant Professor in the Adult Education program in the Education, Foundations, Leadership and Technology (EFLT) Department at Auburn University. Dr. Cordie has been a member of AAACE since 2012 and has been active as a member of the annual conference planning committee, the marketing committee and served as Proposal Chair for the AAACE 2015 Conference.
Dr. Cordie’s research interests focuses on blended learning and understanding effectiveness in the adult teaching-learning environment. She has over 20 years combined experiences in higher education, government, military, healthcare and corporate America. Her background includes distance learning, adult education, training, instructional technology and design, program and professional development, and healthcare. Dr. Cordie has a PhD in Adult Education and Technical Communication from Colorado State University which includes an emphasis in distance learning communication, adult learning theory, and instructional design/curriculum development. She also has a MBA and experience working with the airlines and military in quality and performance improvement. Her career began in nursing, working in public and community health for several years.
