Call for papers n. 5, 2018
The journal Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning (EITL) fits in with a wide scientific multidisciplinary debate, which deepens teaching and learning practices in the context of higher education as well as of university-business dialogue, with focus also on teaching support services and educational and training processes.
The journal aims to build a dialogue on national and international excellences in teaching and learning, and to be in the education and training landscape as a strategic resource for teachers and professionals.
The main topics of interest are:
1. teaching and learning quality and excellence
2. curriculum design and development
3. teaching and learning methods
4. assessment and evaluation
5. pedagogical processes’ leadership and management in educational and training contexts
6. lifelong learning methodologies and tools.
Authors are asked to present national and international contributes with the following formats:
• Refereed articles: conceptual papers of 4000-5500 words.
• Refereed research: empirical research of 4000-5500 words.
• Experiences and practices: experiences, practices and projects’ reports, 3000-4500 words
• Reviews (not refereed): max 800 words
The journal Excellence and Innovation in Teaching and Learning is aimed at school and university teachers, but also to educators, trainers and experts in human resources management and development.

Fostering creative methodologies in educational contexts: theories, models and practices to innovate learning and teaching processes.
Nel processo di innovazione della didattica in atto a livello nazionale e internazionale, le università, le istituzioni scolastiche e gli organismi di formazione sono invitati a ripensare la didattica e la ricerca sui processi di apprendimento e insegnamento. In questa dimensione di rinnovamento stanno emergendo, anche se ancora timidamente, approcci innovativi e creativi che valorizzano l’apporto della musica, pittura, scultura, cinema, teatro, story telling, yoga, meditazione e mindfulness, coinvolgendo gli studenti, giovani e adulti, in processi combinatori che stimolano apprendimento, attraverso il coinvolgimento emozionale e l’investimento personale.
I contesti educativi come le Università, le istituzioni scolastiche e gli organismi di formazione vengono così sollecitati ad esplorare e a sperimentare direzioni formative, strategie di intervento, metodologie didattiche nuove per incoraggiare processi di insegnamento-apprendimento coinvolgenti che tengano conto della persona in modo olistico.
La presente call vuole essere un’occasione di stimolo, elaborazione, confronto e condivisione di teorie, modelli, esperienze e pratiche già in essere o in fase di progettazione nei contesti educativi formali e non formali.
In the process of teaching and learning innovation at national and international level, universities, schools, educational institutions and training organizations are called to re-think didactics and research on learning and teaching processes. In this renewal framework, innovative and creative approaches are slowly emerging, such as those that value the contribution of music, painting, sculpture, cinema, theater, storytelling, yoga, meditation and mindfulness, involving young and adult students in combined processes that stimulate learning through emotional involvement and personal investment.
Therefore, educational contexts such as universities, schools and training organizations are encouraged to explore and experiment educational directions, intervention strategies, new teaching methods in order to foster engaging teaching and learning processes which holistically interpret and consider the person in all her dimensions.
This call offers an opportunity to reflect, elaborate, compare and share theories, models, experiences and practices already in place or in the designing phase in formal and non-formal educational contexts.
