Call for Proposals for Poster Sessions
Vancouver, British Columbia | 1 – 4 June 2019
Each year, the Conference of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education (CASAE) hosts a one-hour
Poster Session where researchers have an opportunity to present a visual display of research in the field of adult
education. Poster presenters enjoy a unique opportunity to network and share research. The development of a poster
has proven valuable for researchers new to the field, as well as for established researchers seeking feedback on workin-
progress. As valued CASAE conference participants, poster presenters have an opportunity to attend all of the
presentations and events of the conference.
Posters combine text and images to provide a snapshot view of your research;
Presenters in the past have created printed posters, handmade posters, and/or have incorporated a variety of
media to enhance their posters;
Poster displays vary in size; the maximum dimensions will be 120 cm by 120 cm [48” X 48”].
Presenters often provide handouts and other information to supplement their posters;
Presenters meet and discuss their posters with conference participants during the scheduled poster session;
Presenters may choose to have a brief description of their poster presentation included as part of the

Guidelines for Abstracts:
For those interested in presenting a research poster at the 2019 CASAE conference, please submit a 150-word
(maximum) abstract/proposal to Robert Mizzi (email@example.com) by 1 April 2019
Your poster proposal must include: Author name(s), Institutional/organizational Affiliation(s), title of poster,
Your proposed poster topic should be explicitly connected to the field of adult education;
Guidelines for Inclusion in Conference Proceedings: Presenters can opt to have an image and description of their
poster published in the 2019 CASAE Conference Proceedings. In one page, presenters will provide the following:
An image of the poster;
Descriptive text (250 words or less) about the poster.
