An Invitation: to participate in AAACE in Action as we Move Forward

AAACE in Action was launched at the November, 2015 AAACE conference. We are inviting all AAACE members and new participants to AAACE to join us in this social justice movement within AAACE that is engaging in organization-wide discussions about social justice. We are sharing what members are doing in their communities (local to international) and working together to generate ideas in support of empowering one another to make a difference. We hope you will join us and collaborate in identifying needs and developing action strategies, informed by practitioners, local community representatives, and faculty in their respective communities and regions. The eventual AAACE-grounded plan will address issues of sustainability, poverty, and access to education that fit the respective contexts of practitioners’ settings.

Two initiatives underway

  1. New online collaboration now available: First we have established a place for ongoing dialog about our work as practitioners and scholarship within the social justice arena. We have a special online site to post, respond and support one another. We see this as a way to not only discover what our membership is doing to impact social justice, but also to link one another to funding sources, similar projects, valuable scholarly opportunities and lay resources.

  2. Second, we are creating a special session at the upcoming 2016 AAACE Conference in Albuquerque where members will show their work and be available to network with one another by sharing resources and ideas. This planning has just begun and we’d love for you to join us in developing this effort. Add your name and interests to our AAACE in Action group today: Post your name and interests to:

We will continue to post our work in this newsletter. It’s time for AAACE in Action!
