CDLT Pre-Conference Symposium Presenter Deadline Extended - July 21, 2017
Share |

The 2017 Commission for Distance Learning and Technology (CDLT) “Pre-Conference Symposium on Social Media” will be held October 31, 2017, from 8 am until 2 pm, at the Sheraton Memphis Downtown Hotel in Memphis, TN. Join the discussion by clicking here to submit a brief presenter application by our extended July, 21, 2017 deadline. The AAACE Conference keynote address and president's reception follows one hour later.

The symposium will commence with a brief networking activity, followed by an interactive workshop on planning for social media projects and campaigns, as well as the integration of social media within courses and programs for adults. The workshop will be led by pre-selected facilitators and precede all individual symposium presentations, as described below. What is your story?

Both AAACE/CDLT members and non-members are encouraged to submit proposals for individual symposium presentations. They represent practitioners, graduate students and academics from a wide variety of practice settings, both nationally and internationally. The common factor linking all accepted proposals is relevance to and advancement of social media in meeting the needs of adult learners. Diversity among presenters and topics is highly encouraged.

Proposals are not required to include data or be research based for consideration. They may include one or more presenters.

Each accepted individual presentation will have “two” components:
1) A speed presentation of 5-10 minutes with A/V equipment to present the core concepts of the topic.
2) A follow up roundtable discussion (30-45 minutes) for in-depth networking and information sharing with symposium participants.

The two presentations may be listed separately on vitaes and resumes.
