Jonathan Taylor is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Leadership Development and Professional Studies at Troy University, Montgomery, AL. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology and Research with a cognate in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Tennessee. His areas of scholarship are cognitive learning, learning resistance, and conceptual change theory, particularly in workplace learning contexts. Prior to his academic career, Jonathan was a certified police instructor in Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia, and spent over 12 years as a training coordinator and instructor in law enforcement and private industry security, teaching community groups, college students, and veteran and recruit law enforcement officers. Jonathan presently provides resistance mitigation consultation to trainers and educators and is also an Associate Instructor for the Transportation Safety Institute (a division of the USDOT), teaching instructor courses for state and city transportation agencies. Jonathan has been actively involved in AAACE since 2007.
