    Higher Education institutions in general and Adult and Continuing Education in particular are experiencing extraordinary changes that require diligence, planning and flexibility to remain viable. Because adult education degree program are located within higher education institutions, the viability of these institutions have direct consequences for the adult education programs and departments within them.   9. 2016 Conference
    Planning and preparations for the 2016 AAACE Annual Conference are going strong. The conference venue is the Downtown Hyatt in Albuquerque; a picturesque city nestled at the feet of the Sandia Mountains. You might know Albuquerque as the past setting for AMC’s “Breaking Bad” TV series, but New Mexico’s biggest city earned praise this year as one of the country’s most “digital” cities. Read More.

  10. ICACE Invitation to Propose Authoring an Article by AAACE Members
    The American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE), at their annual conference general session on November 19, 2015 launched an International Compendium of Adult and Continuing Education (ICACE). The purpose of this 500 page print and eEdition hybrid publication in conjunction with Stylus Publishing is scheduled for release in late 2017, to map the knowledge base of the field. Read More.

    This year, the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE) is partnering with VALUEUSA ( to highlight initiatives that involve adult learners in the development and governance of their programs. VALUE refers to these opportunities as “participatory lifelong learning.” Read More.
